- I made it past the half way mark in Paleo land. I honestly don’t feel different. I really don’t. Other than a bit more fiberous having been eating a ton of veggies. I am tired but not more than normal. I only ran 3.1 miles yesterday (around 31 minutes) out of the 40 minutes I was supposed to do. I walked the rest. I couldn’t push myself. Sometimes you can’t. I was yawning the entire way home, and had a headache. I knew it would be a miracle if I was able to finish 1 mile, so I consider my 3.1 miles to be a great success.
- I am so freaking ready for the weekend.
- I have my first presentation in Graduate School tonight. I am uber psyched. Not really nervous. It needs to be about 10 minutes long and it can be on any article we want from a peer reviewed journal. So I chose “Why do new teachers leave? How can they stay?” Its a prevalent topic and one that I don’t think gets that much attention. We have teachers going to graduate school and then turning around 5 years later and leaving the profession. Now I am not one to judge career change, but that is kind of scary.
- My shoulders, back, abs, arms, thighs, calves, feet hurt. I guess the strength training is working. I hope it’s working. Pain can also be sign of an injury.
- So it seems there is another cyst growing on my face where the first one was removed. Apparently it’s pretty common to have them come back. Apparently this was something the Butcher (i.e. the plastic surgeon) didn’t feel the need to tell me. Apparently my face hates me. So if it does persist – as pretty much my doctor thinks it will – I have to make an appointment with an ENT (because of where it’s located) or a plastic surgeon.

- That’s what I look like and what I am wearing today. I love my boots. I love Target. I wish their clothes fit me better. The top is from Anthropologie, jeans are from Banana Republic.
- I’m getting better at accepting my hips and but. I am planning on wearing a lot more clothes that accentuate this area of me, because if Beyonce can do it, I can do it. I never wanted to be skinny minnie. I just wanted to not jiggle so much. And after watching Beyonce on the superbowl halftime show, I realized I can still have my hips and butt and look good.

- That’s not to say if I woke up tomorrow with Kate Middleton’s body I would be mad. Because I wouldn’t.
