MonThursday


  • First Day Back At Work.  We woke up when I should have been walking out the door.  Thanks to an oatmeal packet, previously straightened hair, that somehow is working with me today, and no traffic, I made it to work on time.  Not sure how this occurred. 
  • Yesterday TPWSNBN and I walked around DC visiting the Spy Museum to see the Bond Exhibit of villains, then to the National Archives to see the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and we thought the Emancipation Proclamation, but that is only out on Dec 31 and Jan 1 of each year due to the fact it is 150 years old, and that thing will turn to dust if exposed for too long.
  • Mmmmmm Coffee….
  • I keep forgetting that today is Thursday, not Monday.  When I remember it is Thursday I get happy, because that means tomorrow is Friday!  Great Job Past Bethany for thinking ahead to Future/Present Bethany’s wants and coming back at the end of the week instead of the beginning.
  • Well I got sucked into a meeting that lasted 3 hours so now I’m eating lunch.
    • Spinach salad as usual
  • I miss Sushi.
  • I had a lot of fun walking around the district with my hubs yesterday.  I think we need to plan more days like that.  We got up, got ourselves together and then spent the day just walking around looking at things.  *sigh*
  • I changed my official weigh in day to Monday – I think this gives me a bit more of a reason to stay on course over the weekends, and it makes it so I don’t feel the need to workout on Mondays – something I hate. \
  • I am so far liking the lowering of carbs – I basically have them for breakfast and then bam not much more through out the day – just from fruit and veggies – which I don’t care what diet you follow – Fruit and veggie carbs are GOOD FOR YOU.  You need them for brain function – or in my case, they are what fuels runners.  Can’t give them up completely, shouldn’t have to.
  • The lowering of sugar has been harder then expected.  Omg.  Sugar is in everything.  EVERYTHING.  So the cutting it out has been hard, but the lowering it – A LOT – has been okay.  I don’t really miss out on anything – well except cake.  I really miss cake.  Not that I ever ate tons of cake.  Okay may be I used to.

  1. Keep up the good work!! And yes, sugar hides in EVERYTHING!
    Do you workout in the morning or evening? Some people say stick to eating the carbs AFTER working out, not in the morning.. that you just need protein and fat to kickstart your metabolism in the morning.
    Just another thought!
    And I totally love feeling that it’s only Tuesday, even though it’s Thursday.. haha. Tomorrow should fly by!
