London Calling: We’ve Landed

I’ll be posting a full on picture post or make my facebook album public once I am able to upload everything (most likely when I get home – sorry).

Today we met a man at Fuller’s Pub The Swan around the corner from the hotel who is pretty much the craziest person ever.  He is Anti-World.  He thinks that everyone is horrible or a ‘wanker’.  He rolls his own cigarettes, and drinks London Pride, and bought us the second round at our lunch.  Not to shabby for a random stranger.  He gave us the names of three pubs to try if we can and then his feelings on Government and how Britain hasn’t been good since 1971.

He was interesting.  We then came back to the hotel, showered, chilled, and took a stroll – er – jaunt through Hyde Park.  We walked clear to the other side and then down Knightsbridge through the shopping district.  That is an understatement.  All my friends were there.

Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Dolce and Gabanna, Gucci, Miu Miu, Prada, Missoni, Christain Loubiton.  We haven’t formally been introduced, but I have loved them from afar for a long time.  We plan on shopping on Friday.  That will give me a clear end to our trip by bankrupting us.

From the shopping we found coffee at a starbucks, bought a mug (duh) and then people watched a bit while we plotted our next move which would be dinner at this point.

We remembered a place in the area that was rated highly on yelp, called Amaya – Indian Bar and Grill.  It was a small plate menu so we ordered a little bit of a lot of things.

  • Chicken Minced Lettuce parcels
  • Seabass
  • Baby Potatoes with a Chili sauce and mango
  • Sirloin steaks in spices (um.. indian people don’t eat cow?”
  • Tandoori Chicken
  • Lamp Chops
  • Basmati Rice
  • Naan

For dessert we had “Chocolate Box with Creme” – OMG.

I can’t wait to do the massive upload of pictures.

Tomorrow is Royal Monday with Breakfast, Buckingham Palace (From the outside as the Queen is home), Parliament (From the outside, because we aren’t actually British), and then Big Ben of course.

To be followed by Kensington Palace  where we will tour and then have high tea/lunch.  We will then chillax and then find food for dinner, late.

Now that  I have typed this it will most likely not happen when it’s supposed to.  :-)

We are letting our vacation happen organically.  SO far it’s worked very well.

xoxo Loves
