Tuesday Things

Plan of the Day

  • Breakfast: Craptastic Smoothie (forgot frozen fruit, so it was pretty bad), WW Bagel w/ Jelly, Coffee with cream
  • Snack: Water and whatever they give me at the blood bank
  • Lunch: Turkey Hummus Roll up, Yogurt, Grapes, Strawberries, Blueberries, Pineapple, Baby Carrots
  • Snack: Apple
  • Dinner: Out with TPWSNBN at Jackson’s – so most likely Tuna
  • Activity: If I can give Blood today will be a rest day.  If I can’t give blood, I’ll be doing strength training at home

♠ So that’s the first thing.  My work is having a blood drive at the office today, and I am determined to give blood.  I haven’t in quite sometime, and it’s like the one thing I can do without having to take up too much time or whatever, for charity.  Plus I weigh in tomorrow, so this can’t hurt that number right?

♠ I’m wearing heels for the first time in a while today.  My feet aren’t liking this.

♠ Tonight is Rufus Wainwright!  I think I would be more excited if say, it wasn’t a Tuesday.  Waking up tomorrow is going to suck.  That is all.

♠ I am vastly distracted this week.  I’m retaking the Praxis Math this Saturday, and while I know what minimum score I need to hit my minimum requirement (169) I still want to do well, not just the minimum.  But I’ll take that minimum, Universe.  If you are listening.  I plan on studying this afternoon after work and before meeting TPWSNBN at his work.  The nice thing  about this concert is, that I have an excuse to go home and work from home this afternoon (the dogs need time after being fed dinner).

♠ I am still on my Snow Patrol Obsession and wish that I could go to one of their concerts this fall when they come back to the States.  I am told, by I’ll let you guess, that Nashville and Canada are too far for concerts.  I tell him that he has lost his sense of adventure, and the Great White North would be  a great experience.

♠ I had a dream last night that I was riding an elephant, through a rainbow, while singing songs from Mama Mia.  Yes, Through a Rainbow.

♠ I had a dream this morning while I was dozing that I had a son who, at the age of 15, found this blog.  The horror.  I hope there is a way to erase the internet by that time.

♠ I need to stop looking at clothing sites.  Like seriously.  I don’t want to buy anything new until I drop another size.  I’d like to refresh my entire wardrobe then.  But there are so many pretty clothes… Sigh.

♠ If Bon Iver and the ASPCA did a commercial together I think my heart would actually explode from massive onslaught of complete weeping grief.

♠ I leave for the Dominican Republic, and well, my body isn’t where I want it, still.  I was praying for the past few days to wake up as a size 6 or something.  Not yet.  God you have 8 days.

♠ I’m meeting a lot of pretty awesome people via Twitter and this blog and it makes me want to have a blog meet up.  Since most of you are in the UK, please band together to be in London in October when I am there.  We’ll iron out which pub I’ll be getting drunk at and someone bring your boyfriend/husband so that TPWSNBN has someone to talk to.

♠ Someone asked me if I think “Fitspro” is a bad influence.  Fitspro is, in essence, those pictures of a woman running with words on the picture that say something like “No matter how slow you go, you’re lapping everyone on the couch.”  Or something like that.  I think in my personal opinion that has no bearing on psychological opinions (I’m not Tom Cruise, obviously), that they have their place.  I have a picture of one on my fridge in my kitchen.  It (sometimes) keeps me from devouring all the food inside.  I used to have one I taped to the treadmill at the gym when I would go.  In my mind it would help.  If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll see I have two boards, Run Bebe Run and Bebe Gets Healthy.  These boards are filled with things like those.  For me, I don’t think they promote a unhealthy relationship with food or exercise, to me.  I know I have my own things to get over, but these pictures aren’t going to make me not eat food, nor make me jump on the exercise 4 hours a day everyday bandwagon.  I think it depends on who is looking at them frankly.

♠ I really hope some of that above made SOME sense.

♠I think it’s time I try Eggplant and Crossfit for real.
